When I found out I was fighting Jorge Gurgel, I was extremely excited.  I knew that despite his talent on the ground with Jiu Jitsu, he was also a game opponent to have an all out scrap with.  He didn’t disappoint.  He came out hard and fast.  I knew he was trying to get me to over commit on a punch or kick and then he would shoot a double and take me down.  I played it safe, yet aggressive.  I knew I just had to wait and pick my shots.  At the end of the first round, I hit him hard that laid him out.  When he came out for round two, a quick 3,1 and he was done.  Hats off to Jorge Gurgel.  He is one tough SOB.
